Incorporated, Advice Nos. 589, 599, and 6ll. )

 DISPOSITION: MOTION GRANTED

On December 8, 1998, U S WEST Communications, Inc. (USWC) and GTE Northwest Incorporated (GTE), filed a joint motion requesting a 60-day extension of time to file revised cost studies and tariffs in accordance with Order No. 98-444 issued in this proceeding. The filings required by Order No. 98-444 are due January 12, 1999.

In support of the motion, USWC and GTE state that they must make numerous changes to their existing cost studies and develop new studies in order to comply with Order No. 98-444. They assert that designing and running these studies will entail a substantial amount of time. Furthermore, because GTE’s tariff filing will reflect certain assumptions included in USWC’s tariffs, additional time will be required to coordinate the filings.

USWC and GTE state that the proposed extension of time will not prejudice any party because the tariffs currently in effect are subject to refund. The motion is unopposed.

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that the joint motion for extension of time to file revised tariffs filed by USWC and GTE in this matter is granted. USWC and GTE shall file revised cost studies and tariffs in accordance with Order No. 98-444 no later than March 15, 1999.
