DISPOSITION: NAME CORRECTION ALLOWED
Background
On September 4, 1998, we issued Order No. 98-367 granting the application of ACI Corp., dba Accelerated Connections, Inc., (applicant). On September 30 applicant filed a motion to revise Order No. 98-367 by removing the "dba Accelerated Connections, Inc." portion of its name. Applicant states that the dba designation was inadvertently included with the company’s letter accompanying its original application. ACI does business in other states under the name Accelerated Connections, Inc., but does not use that name in Oregon.
The request to drop the dba designation should be granted. The name actually used in Oregon by applicant should be the name on its certificate. The dba designation has been deleted from applicant’s name shown on the caption of this order.
ORDER
IT IS ORDERED that applicant’s request to drop the designation "dba Accelerated Connections, Inc." from its name in Oregon is granted. The appropriate name of applicant in Oregon is ACI Corp.
