DISPOSITION: RATE SCHEDULES SUSPENDED
On December 1, 1997, Portland General Electric Company filed rate schedules in Advice No. 97-20 to be effective January 7, 1998. The terms of the proposed schedules were set forth in a Staff Report dated December 30, 1997.
At its January 6, 1998, public meeting, the Public Utility Commission of Oregon found good and sufficient cause exists to investigate the propriety and reasonableness of the rates pursuant to ORS 759.210 and 759.215. The Commission ordered suspension of the advice pending that investigation.
On January 6, 1998, Order No. 98-015 was entered suspending Advice No. 97-20 for a six-month period of time.
The Commission will not have an opportunity to complete its investigation in this case prior to the expiration of the initial suspension period. Accordingly, the suspension should be extended for an additional period not exceeding three months pursuant to ORS 757.215(1).
ORDER
IT IS ORDERED that Advice No. 97-20 filed by Portland General Electric Company on December 1, 1997, is suspended for an additional period of not more than three months beyond the last day of the initial suspension period set forth in Order No. 98-015.
