On February 25, 1998, the Commission received an Amendment to Energy Services Agreement (Advice No. 98-003) between PacifiCorp, dba, Pacific Power and Light Company (Pacific) and Roseburg Forest Products Company (RFP). The amendment provides for the extension of the current contract, approved at the March 19, 1996, public meeting, for twenty-four months from the date of Commission approval. The current contract expires on March 23, 1998. In order to bridge the short time span between the agreement’s expiration date and the Commission’s March 24, 1998, public meeting, Pacific requested that filing become effective with meter readings on or after March 27, 1998.

At its March 24, 1998, public meeting, the Commission adopted staff’s recommendation to waive OAR 860-022-0032. This rule requires tariff changes to be effective for services rendered on and after the effective date of the changes, unless otherwise authorized by the Commission.

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that the request of PacifiCorp, dba Pacific Power and Light Company for approval of Advice No. 98-003 be allowed to go into effect with meter readings on and after March 27, 1998, is granted.
