ORDER

DISPOSITION: DOCKET CLOSED

On August 1, 1997, Portland General Electric Company (PGE) filed rate schedules in Advice No. 97-13 to be effective October 1, 1997. On September 18, 1997, PGE filed modifications of the rate schedules. The Commission suspended the rate schedules in Order No. 97-383 issued September 30, 1997.

On October 8, 1997, PGE withdrew all the suspended tariff sheets and filed revised and additional sheets to be effective October 22, 1997. It also filed an Application to Waive Statutory Notice. It also requested that the Commission approve certain other provisions of its Customer Choice Program.

The Commission considered this matter at its public meeting on October 21, 1997. Staff filed a report recommending that the Commission allow the revised and new sheets to become effective on less than statutory notice and approve the other requests made by PGE. The Commission adopted Staff’s recommendation.

CONCLUSIONS

The Commission concludes that there is no reason to keep this docket open. Any matters relating to these tariffs or to PGE’s Pilot Program that come before us in the future will be treated in new dockets.
