DISPOSITION: DOCKET CLOSED
On November 25, 1996, GTE Northwest Incorporated (GTE) filed a petition for a declaratory ruling with the Commission. That request was docketed as DR 17. On February 24, 1997, Commission Staff filed a recommendation to create a Utility Matter (UM) docket within which all the issues presented in GTE’s declaratory ruling petition could be considered. On March 14, 1997, the Commission entered Order No. 97-103, closing DR 17 and opening an investigation docketed as UM 839.
Parties met on May 1, 1997, to discuss issues and procedure. Staff recommended that the docket be treated as a general rulemaking, and that the current docket be closed. At its September 30, 1997, public meeting, the Commission approved Staff’s recommendation that it open AR 336 concerning OAR 860-032-0045 ("Petitions for Alternative Access by Customers of Shared Service Providers"), and close this docket.
ORDER
IT IS ORDERED that Docket UM 839 is closed.
