BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION

OF OREGON

LC 15

In the Matter of the Application of PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY for Approval to Conduct an Abbreviated Planning Process to Develop DSM and Renewable Resource Targets and Goals for 1998 and 1999. ORDER

DISPOSITION: APPLICATION GRANTED WITH CONDITIONS

On March 25, 1997, Portland General Electric (PGE) filed a request for a supplemental order to Order No. 89-507 in LC 15. PGE requests that the supplemental order suspend the requirement that the company file a least-cost plan in June 1997 and modify PGE’s 1998-1999 least-cost planning requirements.

The basis for the current request is detailed in the Staff’s memorandum attached as Appendix A and incorporated by reference. Staff recommends that the Commission grant the request subject to reporting and other conditions set out in its report.

The Commission considered the request at its public meeting on May 27, 1997. Based upon a review of the application and the Commission’s records, including Staff’s report, the Commission finds that this supplemental application satisfies applicable statutes and administrative rules and should be adopted with the conditions set out in Staff’s report.

ORDER

IT IS ORDERED that this supplemental application is granted, subject to the conditions stated in Appendix A. All other provisions of previous Commission Orders issued in this docket, shall, to the extent not modified by this order, remain in full force and effect.

Made, entered, and effective .
