BEFORE THE PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION

OF OREGON

UW 52

In the Matter of the Application of STAFFORD’S TUMALO WATER HOLE for an Order Approving the Abandonment of the System. ORDER

DISPOSITION: WATER SYSTEM SOLD; DOCKET CLOSED

On October 27, 1995, Stafford’s Tumalo Water Hole (Stafford’s) filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Oregon (Commission) to terminate water service and recover its equipment.

On January 2, 1997, Happy Acres Water Co. (Happy Acres) submitted a letter informing the Commission that it had purchased the water system from Stafford’s. Happy Acres asked the Commission to acknowledge the sale. The letter indicated that Happy Acres is a registered non-profit corporation and is now the legal owner of the water system. In conversations with the Commission Staff, Happy Acres indicated that the customers of the water system own the company.

There appears to be no need for further proceedings in this docket. The sale of the water system to Happy Acres is acknowledged. The docket should be closed.

IT IS ORDERED that the docket is closed.

Made, entered, and effective ________________________.
