ORDER |
DISPOSITION: INVESTIGATION OPENED
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) orders in CC Dockets 96-128 and 91-35 implement the payphone aspects of the Telecommunications Act of 1934 , section 276, as amended by the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
At its public meeting on January 7, 1997, Staff recommended the Commission open an investigation concerning public interest payphone issues in Oregon. The Commission adopted Staff’s recommendation which is attached as Appendix A and is incorporated by reference. Appendix A provides the background and additional details concerning this issue.
ORDER
IT IS ORDERED that an investigation of issues concerning public interest payphones, pursuant to ORS 756.515, is opened.
