DISPOSITION: PETITION DISMISSED
On August 27, 1996, U S WEST Communications, Inc. (USWC) filed a petition requesting authorization to withdraw its Petition for Price Regulation filed on December 7, 1995. In support of request, USWC cites intervening changes in the telecommunications industry brought about by passage of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 and uncertainties surrounding its pending rate case in PUC docket UT 125.
The Commission finds that the petition to withdraw should be granted. No reason exists for further consideration of this matter, and the docket is closed.
