DISPOSITION: APPLICATION APPROVED
On January 26, 1996, Northwest Natural Gas Company (NNG or Company) filed an application requesting approval of an accounting treatment for a one-time payment, under a Natural Gas Transportation and Service Agreement for Electric Generation, from Portland General Electric Company (PGE).
At its February 20, 1996, public meeting, the Commission adopted staff’s recommendation to approve the application with one reporting requirement. Staff’s report is attached as Appendix A and incorporated in this order by reference.
ORDER
IT IS ORDERED that:
Northwest Natural Gas Company’s application requesting approval of the accounting treatment of a one-time payment from Portland General Electric Company under a Natural Gas Transportation and Service Agreement for Electric Generation is granted.
NNG shall file, as soon as available, copies of the journal entries recording the transaction.
Commission approval of the accounting treatment does not constitute approval for ratemaking purposes.
