| 6/29/2026 11:02:43 AM | Oppose Docket | Gretchen and daniel | Brewer | We have lived here for years now, just in the last 3 or more years since this company/owners have bought this park they have raised rates on everything .since we purchased our home we have always had water and sewer provided as a benefit to living here. This is not fair to for tenants who for years have has the water sewer included in there space rent .. also the pipes around here in this park are in bad shape and there is no guarantee that tenants will get a fair bill. And tenants have not been guaranteed these meters are safe or if they are accurate on readings .and no guarantee that there staff is legally certified or educated to check or install these meters. This is not right at all to do the tenants who have lived here for years |
| 6/29/2026 7:06:54 PM | General (Docket-Specific) | Karrie | Adams | I respectfully request that the Oregon Public Utility Commission carefully review this proposal to install individual water meters in our manufactured home community. For years, residents have paid for water as part of our monthly space rent. Many of us entered into our rental agreements with the understanding that water was included. Changing the billing method now could significantly increase our monthly housing costs, particularly for seniors, people with disabilities, and residents living on fixed or limited incomes. If the park owner begins charging residents separately for water, there should be a corresponding reduction in the monthly space rent so residents are not paying twice for the same service. The Commission should also require complete transparency regarding how water rates will be calculated, how meter installation costs will be recovered, and what protections will be in place to ensure residents are billed fairly and accurately. I ask the Commission to protect residents from unfair cost shifting and to ensure that any changes to water billing are just, reasonable, and in the public interest. Thank you for considering the concerns of the residents who will be directly affected by this proposal. |
